The 2014-15 season marks Nwigwe's fourth season in professional basketball. Last year, Nwigwe helped lead Club African Tunis to a Tunisia-Division I league title and also played for Al Nasr Benghazi of the Libya Division I league.

During the 2012-13 campaign, Nwigwe averaged 21.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals in 14 games for Al Shamal in Qatar en route to earning Asia-Basket.com All-Qatari Division I Second Team accolades. Nwigwe started that season with Al Rayyan Doha.

He posted career averages of 6.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, compiling totals of 827 points and 418 caroms. Three times in four seasons with Nwigwe on the roster RMU appeared in the postseason, including the 2008 MasterCard National Invitation Tournament (NIT) and back-to-back NCAA Tournament (2009, 2010) automatic bids.

During his senior season in 2009-10, Nwigwe averaged 8.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 35 games, including 34 starts.
