Earning the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 10, 2014, is senior Aubree Ray of the track and field squad. In a pair of meets last week to open the 2014-15 indoor campaign, Ray won the shot put at the Navy Lid Lifter (12/2/14) with a toss of 13.73 meters (45’0.50”), a tally that qualified her for the ECAC Championships. Ray also earned silver in the weight throw at Navy with a mark of 14.39 meters (47’2.50”). Ray also won the weight throw at the Marty Pushkin Track Classic (12/6/14), which was hosted by West Virginia, posting a distance of 13.35 meters (43’9.75”). For her efforts, Ray was selected as the first Northeast Conference Field Athlete of the Week (12/9/14) of the 2014-15 indoor campaign.
