Named the inaugural Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2016-17 season is senior outside hitter Arden Fisher of the volleyball squad. In helping the Colonials go 1-2 at the Citadel Tournament in Charleston, S.C., last weekend, Fisher led the way by compiling 45 kills, 85 digs and 10 blocks in three matches. She recorded three consecutive double-doubles to open the 2016 season, including 16 kills and 33 digs in a 3-2 victory (22-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16, 15-12) over the Citadel (8/26). Thanks to averaging 6.54 digs per set as well as her 10 blocks, Fisher was selected as the first Molten / Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week (8/29) of the 2016 campaign. Â
