Tabbed the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 28, 2022, is freshman midfielder Elisa Corvalan of the soccer team. In a 2-1 triumph over Detroit Mercy (9/25) at the North Athletic Complex that helped the Colonials secure their first Horizon League victory of the season, Corvalan found the back of the net for the game-winning goal with less than 10 minutes to play. Two consecutive corner kicks saw RMU produce a flurry of shots on goal, as after a deflection off UDM goalie Jazmine Scott, Corvalan, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, corralled the ball and buried it in the net at 82:54. It marked the third goal of the year for the rookie, which is tied for the team lead with Haleigh Finale and Gabriella Lecuona.Â
