Tomlinson Nominated by LaxPower for Best Draw Control

Moon Township, Pa. ? May 11, 2009 ? Senior Emily Tomlinson (Springfield, Va. / West Springfield) of the Robert Morris University women's lacrosse team was one of six seniors nationwide nominated by LaxPower.com for the 2009 LaxPower Fan Awards in the category of best senior draw control.

During the past couple weeks fans have been voting on laxpower.com for the best draw controller in the nation, while also voting for winners in the categories of best senior attack, best senior midfield, best senior defense, best senior goalie, rookie of the year and coach of the year.

During the weekend of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse National Championship held at Towson University, the winners from each category will be announced.

Tomlinson finished last season with 74 draw controls, while also adding 37 goals, nine assists and 24 ground balls.   She finished the season ranked second in the nation for draw controls with 4.35 per game and was second on the RMU squad for goals.
