Â - April 16, 2010 - The Robert Morris University Colonials conclude their home portion of the 2010 season against the No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. The Tar Heels enter the match-up with a 10-1 record, earning their first loss last week to No. 1 Virginia, while the Colonials are 8-3.
After falling to the nation's second best defensive team, Bryant, last week by one goal in double overtime (15-14), the Colonials will look to bounce back by taking on one of the best teams in the nation.
Head coach Bear Davis was named the first men's lacrosse coach at Robert Morris in 2004, and throughout six seasons at the head of the program has built a program that is now a strong contender on the national level. Â This year the team is experiencing its best season ever with an 8-3 record, wins over perennial powerhouses Ohio State and Penn State and the program's first ever national ranking (19th) on March 16th.
The Colonials have maintained their ranking as nation's top scoring offense throughout the season with 15.73 goals per game, while the Tar Heels are ranked 18th with 11 goals per game. Â However, North Carolina is the nation's top defensive team, holding their opponents to an average of just 6.36 goals per game.

Trevor Moore is currently on a 26-game point scoring streak, dating back to February 14, 2009 against Penn State. His streak is the ninth longest in the NCAA. Throughout those games he has collected 57 goals and 20 assists for 77 points.

Junior Corbyn Tao-Brambleby has collected six hat tricks this season, which is tied for fourth in the nation for the most hat tricks. His last one came against Bryant when he scored five goals in the Colonials 15-14 double overtime loss.

Trevor Moore, Corbyn Tao-Brambleby, Kiel Matisz and Kyle Buchanan have all recorded at least one point in every contest this season.

Moore leads the Colonials with 22 assists and 48 points and is ranked eighth in the nation for points per game with 4.36 and is eighth in the nation with 2.00 assists per game. He holds the RMU career record for assists with 47 needs just seven more points to become RMU's all-time point leader

Tao-Brambleby is first on the team with 29 goals and ranked 18th in the NCAA with 2.64 games per game. He needs 13 more goals to take over as the RMU career leader for goals scored

Matisz is second on the team with 24 goals, 14 assists and 38 points.

Jordon Sealock is the squad's top defensemen and is ranked 11th in the country with 1.91 caused turnovers per game. He is third on the team with 30 ground balls and has totaled 21 caused turnovers. He needs four more caused turnovers to take over the top spot in the RMU career record books.

Mike Grosz leads the Colonials with 44 ground balls and a .535 face-off percentage.

The last time RMU and North Carolina met in competition was on February 7, 2009 when the Tar Heels topped the Colonials 16-4 at Fetzer Field.
