The Game

The Robert Morris University Colonials (12-11, 6-6 NEC) open up Northeast Conference Rivalry Week today when they host the Saint Francis Red Flash (11-12, 8-4 NEC) at the Charles L. Sewall Center. The Colonials have won two of their last three games and are looking to solidify their position in the Northeast Conference standings. Saint Francis has won four consecutive games and find themselves in a tie for third in the league standings.

Musket Shots

  • RMU had a season-high 16 steals while forcing 32 turnovers in a 55-38 win at Wagner on Feb. 4.
  • Junior G Josette Campbell scored a season-best 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting at Mount St. Mary's on Feb. 6.
  • Sophomore F Artemis Spanou earned her 13th double-double of the year with 13 points and 12 rebounds at the Mount.
  • The 38 points given up at Wagner are the fewest by the Colonials since holding St. Francis (NY) to 36 points Dec. 2, 2010.
  • "Monday Night" Mary Duroajaye is averaging 21.6 points and 8.6 rebounds while shooting 58.1 percent in the team's last five Monday night games.
  • RMU is 85-23 (.787) at the Sewall Center since 2004-05, including 55-12 (.821) in NEC games

The Series vs. Saint Francis

After winning nine of 10 meetings, Robert Morris has suffered three consecutive setbacks against Saint Francis and trail the all-time series, 33-35. The Colonials are 15-13 at home against the Red Flash and 13-21 in games played at DeGol Arena.

Tye Teetering on Top 10 Assists List

Junior point guard Briannica Tye has tallied 118 assists in 23 games this season, an average of 5.1 per game. She needs seven more helpers to surpass the 124 that Mimi Reiber was credited for during the 1984-85 season, the 10th most in a single-season at RMU. At her current pace, Tye has a chance to finish in the top-five at RMU in assists.
