Starr and his staff will host four distinct camps during the months of June and July, all of which will take place at the Charles L. Sewall Center, the Colonials' regular home arena, on Robert Morris' Moon Township campus.

The setter/hitter camp will take place Monday, June 11, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and is open to boys and girls age 12-18. Setters and hitters will work separately for half of the day, and together for the other half, receiving many repetitions to fine tune the individual skills that are involved with their offensive positions.

The ball control/defense camp is set for Tuesday, June 12, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and is open to boys and girls age 12-18. This session will focus on the development of fundamental movement and ball-control skills as well as the visual reads and mental processing necessary to play all backcourt positions.

The youth all-skills camp is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and is open to boys and girls age 6-12. In this camp, the staff will create a day of fun as well as teach the fundamentals of volleyball in every aspect of the game.

The team camp will take place Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15, and is open to varsity high school and club teams. Teams will get the opportunity to compete against other squads under the guidance of a Division I coaching staff. The emphasis of the camp will be on game preparation and game competitions with the team coaches actively involved in order to prepare for their upcoming seasons.

If a camper should attend two of the camps, he or she will receive $15 off the total price. Additionally, refunds will be given minus a $25 non-refundable deposit if a cancelation becomes necessary.

For those interested in signing up for a camp(s), links for registering via both mail and online are available at the official camp website.

Information for teams or clubs to schedule satellite camps can be found on the official camp website.

During the recent 2011 season, Starr led a squad of eight freshmen to qualify for the program's 13th-conescutive league tournament appearance. He also posted RMU's first-ever win over local BIG EAST rival Pittsburgh and helped one of his student-athletes become the first Colonial in program history to win a CVU.com National Player of the Week honor.

Starr, who has been a Division I head coach since 2004, continued the proud tradition of RMU volleyball in his first season with the Colonials. He led Robert Morris to a 13-3 mark in league play as the Colonials defeated every team in the conference at least once. Starr then guided his squad to a victory over six-time defending NEC champion Long Island in the conference tournament semifinals, eliminating the Blackbirds in a thrilling, five-set match. With the win, RMU competed in its 13th league championship match, extending its own conference record.

RMU assistant coach Sarah Kaczuk and volunteer assistant coach Danny Doherty will join Starr as part of the camp staff.
