First Home RMU Night Game Slated For Friday

The Robert Morris Colonials women's soccer team hosts the Howard Bison in the first-ever home night game for either the men's or women's program. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Joe Walton Stadium - also marking the first Division I soccer game to be played in the stadium. The Colonials are off to a 0-4 start with close losses to Bucknell, Youngstown State, Pittsburgh, and Eastern Kentucky. The Bison are off to a 1-3-1 start.

Series

RMU is 7-3-1 all-time against Howard winning last year's matchup by the score of 4-1. This series dates back to 1997 with a RMU win, 3-2. The 1997 win versus Howard was the eighth win in program history. RMU has won five of the past six matchups dating back to 2004.

Scouting the Bison

The Bison finished the 2011 season with a record of 4-12-1. Howard is led by senior Retha Koefoed and sophomore goalkeeper Kyra Dickinson. Dickinson took over goalkeeping duties as a freshman last season and was named to All-Great West Second Team. Koefoed has scored 10 goals in her three years thus far, including four game winning goals. The Bison have a win against Longwood, draw against Loyola (Md.), and losses to Radford, Lafayette, and Rider.
