Both teams enter the contest with records of 4-0 this season.

- The Colonials enter the contest against UC-Davis with a 4-0 record after opening the 2014 campaign with victories over Niagara, Howard, Oregon, and Detroit.
- RMU leads the nation in caused turnovers, averaging 15.25 per game this season.

- The two teams last met in 2009, the last trip to California for the Colonial program, as RMU came away with its first win against the Aggies, 13-8.
- In the first two meetings of these teams, UC-Davis was victorious by a combined score of 38-5.

- UC-Davis enters the contest unbeaten with a 4-0 record.
- The Aggies have allowed an average of 7.50 goals per game this season.
- Offensively, UC-Davis is led by Melissa Kellan who has 13 goals in four games.
- Elizabeth Landry leads the team in assists with seven while also pacing the Aggies with 16 points.
- Between the pipes, Kai Murphy has started all four games, posting a 4-0 record with a 7.42 goals-against average and a .592 save percentage.

- The 4-0 start to the 2014 campaign marks is the longest unbeaten streak to start a season in the ten-year history of the program at Robert Morris.
- The streak surpassed the benchmark set last season when RMU started 3-0 before suffering its first loss.

- Jessica Karwacki again leads the NCAA in draw controls, averaging 15.75 per game this season.
- Karwacki's closest competiton averages nearly seven fewer draw controls per game.
- As a freshman last season, Karwacki recorded 152 draw controls, establishing a new NCAA single-season record.
Dishing out the Assists
- Senior Lauren Roberts leads the NEC in assists, averaging 2.00 helpers per game this season.
- Roberts' average ranks her 25th in the NCAA through the team's first four games of the 2014 campaign.

Causing a Fit for their Opponent
- Jessica Karwacki leads the Northeast Conference in caused turnovers per game with an average of 2.25.
- Karwacki ranks 19th in the nation with her average.
A Mainstay Between the Pipes
- After an 8-8 season in 2013, goaltender Kaitlin Pentz returns for her senior year with the Colonials.  
- Pentz's eight wins last season matched a career high and give Pentz the second-most wins in a single season in program history.  
- After four victories to start the season, Pentz now has 26 career wins, the most in Robert Morris history after surpassing Erica Webb (2007-10) who recorded 24 victories during her time as a Colonial.
