Brittany Howard of the
Robert Morris University women's hockey team was named College Hockey America Player of the Week, announced the league Monday afternoon.
Howard scored two goals and added two assists to amass four points in a 1-0-1 weekend for the Colonials. Her performance helped RMU remain in third place in the conference standings, just one point behind second-place Syracuse.
The St. Thomas, Ontario, native scored a goal in Saturday's 3-3 overtime tie, then had a hand in three of the four Colonials goals in Sunday's 4-1 victory. She has recorded a point in each of her last five games and Robert Morris is 9-2-4 when Howard notches a point.
Howard leads the Colonials in goals (10; tied with
Amber Rennie), assists (16) and points (26). She has scored two power-play goals and two game-winning goals.
