Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University volleyball team was honored for its academic success recently as the Colonials earned the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Additionally, Robert Morris also gained the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll designation for having a Top 25 grade point average across all NCAA Division I volleyball programs.

12 student-athletes were named to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Fall Academic Honor Roll for owning a grade point average of 3.20 or higher, with five Colonials adding NEC Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades to their resumes after posting a grade point average of 3.75 or higher. Recently graduated April Krivoniak was named to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team and claimed a pair of NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors over her career.

In the last 18 seasons, Robert Morris has posted a winning record in league play; the longest such streak of any NEC member, past or present. Over that time span, the Colonials have gone 159-42 in conference matches.
