PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Robert Morris University freshman
Colleen Tifft has been named the NEC women's lacrosse Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. It marks the first weekly award in Tifft's career and the first weekly award to be given to a Colonial in the 2020 season.
The Liverpool, N.Y. native was all over the score sheet in RMU's 18-4 win over Akron last Saturday, posting two goals and an assist off of four shots on goal. She also collected five ground balls and caused three turnovers en route to helping the Colonials earn their second consecutive victory.
Tifft now has four goals on the season after her first career two-goal effort against the Zips, and has scored in each of her first three games in a Colonials jersey. Robert Morris returns to action this Saturday, February 29 when they host Buckenell at Joe Walton Stadium at 2:00 p.m.
