Gebhard, Curlett Named NCAA Statistical Champs

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Robert Morris University senior captain Jaycee Gebhard and junior defender Emily Curlett were named as statistical champions for the 2020 season, it was announced today.

Gebhard is the NCAA Division NC leader in shorthanded goals, potting four goals while down a skater this season for the Colonials.  The Plenty, Sask. native led both RMU and College Hockey America in scoring for the second consecutive season with 63 points in 36 games and became RMU's all-time program scoring leader back in January.

The senior earned first-team All-CHA honors in her final year on the Island, helping to lead RMU back to the CHA Championship game for the fourth consecutive season.

Curlett, meanwhile, finishes the 2020 campaign as the NCAA Division NC leader in power-play goals after a remarkable season that saw her score 13 of her 17 tallies on the man advantage.  The Lapier, Mich. native put together two separate streaks of three consecutive games with a power-play goal, including a pair against Clarkson on October 19.

The junior was a CHA First-Team honoree and finished the regular season tied for second in the conference in defender scoring at .85 points per game.  Earlier this season, she became the program's all-time leader in goals by a defender when she scored her 35th career tally against Penn State on February 8th.
