PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Robert Morris University women's soccer team continued its tradition of academic excellence in the classroom over the past year when it was announced Friday that the Colonials earned United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 academic year.

The award is given to any NCAA program that finishes the semester with a team cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. A total of 945 soccer teams (358 men, 587 women) qualified for the award last year. Last year, the Colonials posted a team GPA of 3.61 overall.

The Colonials will return to play next month when they open up their first ever season as members of the Horizon League during the spring 2021 campaign.
