Colleen Tifft was chosen the Offensive Player of the Week while graduate student goalkeeper
Jamie Keller was selected the Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Tifft, a native of Liverpool, N.Y., registered a career day in helping the Colonials secure a 12-10 victory over the Penguins on Saturday afternoon. She carded a career-high five points while tying her career-best with four scores and collected an assist during the win. Tifft tallied a season-high and a team leading eight shots, all coming on goal. She paced RMU with a career-best six draw controls while collecting three ground balls and caused two turnovers.
The New York native now leads the team with 21 total points and seven assists while sitting second with 14 scores on the year. This is the second time in her career that she's been honored by the MAC and the fourth time in her career receiving a weekly conference honor.
Keller, a native of McMurray, Pa., has been selected the Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. She collected nine saves during the victory while facing 20 total shots. Keller tallied six saves in the first half as YSU fired 12 shots on goal in the first 30 minutes. She posted a .474 saves percentage on the afternoon, her second best this season.
The Peters Township product ranks fifth in the conference with 66 total saves, facing 226 shots while averaging just under eight saves per game. This is the sixth time in her career that she's received a weekly honor from the MAC.
