RMU Awarded IWLCA Academic Honor Squad Laurel

10 student-athletes earn spot on Academic Honor Roll

Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU women's lacrosse team earned the 2023 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad Award on Wednesday for its academic achievements in the classroom.

The IWLCA Academic Honor Squad Award recognizes women's lacrosse programs across Division I, II, III, and NAIA that completed the academic year with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher. During the 2022-23 academic year, the Colonials finished with a team GPA of 3.585.

In addition to earning the Academic Honor Squad Award, 10 student-athletes were named to the 2023 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. To garner the accolade, a junior, senior or graduate student student-athlete must post a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Earning the honor for the Colonials was graduate student Jamie Keller, seniors Jordan Anderson, Julia Koterwas, Jerica Obee, and Colleen Tifft and juniors Gia Anthony, Lucy Hess, Julia Davies, Haley Mojsej, and Isabelle Robarge.

Keller, an engineering major, posted a cumulative GPA of 3.83, while Anderson, a biology major with a minor in chemistry and nutrition, earned a 3.61 cumulative GPA. Koterwas is a finance major with a concentration in business analytics while compiling a 3.89 GPA. Meanwhile, Obee studies clinical psychology while Tifft is an engineering major with a focus in biomedical and mechanical engineering and have maintained GPAs of 3.75 and 3.64, respectively. 

Anthony and Hess are marketing majors, totaling cumulative GPAs of 3.81 and 3.92 while Davies is studying criminal justice and compiled a 3.85 GPA. As an accounting major, Mojsej has earned a 3.92 GPA while Robarge has accumulated a perfect 4.00 as a health science major.

Over 2,300 student-athletes representing over 300 different institutions across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA were named IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recipients in 2023. The IWLCA honored over 280 programs across all divisions as Academic Honor Squads for the 2022-23 academic year.
