BOSTON – Seniors
Samantha Hennen and
Julia Dill competed in the 2025-26 Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday, with Hennen breaking the school record in the 5,000m.
The senior from Pittsburgh ran a 16:20.07 to break the previous school record of 16:37.65 held by teammate Dill. Hennen finished in 80
th at the meet. Dill was also racing for the Colonials in the season opener and finished with a time of 16:45.74 to place 121 at the meet.
The Colonials will return to action on January 16, where the team will compete in the Al Campbell Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
