MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey coaching staff has announced that graduate forward
Veronica Bac has been named an Alternate Captain for the remainder of the season. Bac joins captain
Allyson Hebert and alternate captain
Jersey Phillips in the team's leadership group.
"Roni has shown her leadership qualities from the first day she stepped on campus," said Head Coach
Logan Bittle. "She leads by example on and off the ice with her exceptional work ethic. We're happy to add her to our wonderful leadership team."
Known for her skill, work ethic, and leadership, Bac has made a strong impact both on and off the ice, earning the honor of wearing the "A" for the Colonials.
"Having the opportunity to lead this amazing group of girls is an honor," said Bac. "Every player brings their best, and it's a privilege to help guide us towards success, both on and off the ice."
This season, Bac has been a key contributor, appearing in all 30 games for RMU. She has recorded eight goals, four assists, and 12 points, with her eight goals tied for the team lead. Bac also leads the Colonials in power-play goals (4).
RMU continues its homestand this weekend, hosting Syracuse for a two-game series on February 7-8 at Clearview Arena.
