YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The RMU women's track and field DMR team secured a first-place finish while
Julia Dill placed second in the 5000m, and two school records fell to highlight day one of the 2026 #HLTF Indoor Championships on Saturday in Youngstown.
The Colonials secured their first victory of the championship with the DMR team of
Erin LaQuatra,
Lindsey Martineau,
Ailena Reynolds-Diaz, and
Samantha Hennen securing a first-place finish with a time of 11:46.19, which also breaks the RMU school record.
Julia Dill secured a second-place finish in the 5,000m with a time of 16:45.91 to earn eight points for the Colonials.
In the 800m prelims,
Ava Deming set a new school record with a time of 2:14.43 to place fourth and advance to the finals tomorrow.
Hayzes Robinson placed first in the 60m prelims with a time of 7.59 while also finishing in fourth place in the 200m with a time of 24.69 to qualify for the finals in both events. Robinson's 24.69 in the 200m preliminaries is now the second-best time in school history in the event.
The final Colonial to advance through the preliminaries was
Julianna Page-Daughtry, who finished in seventh place with a time of 56.40 in the 400m. Page-Daughtry's time in the event is also now the third best in school history.
As a team, RMU is currently tied for fourth place with Purdue Fort Wayne, as the Colonials and Mastodons each have 21 points after the first day.
