In picking up her second Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honor in the last three weeks Monday, freshman midfielder Dana Davis of the lacrosse squad earns her first Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of her career. Davis was bestowed the honor from the NEC after a well-rounded performance in a 20-5 victory @ Delaware State (3/2/15). In the win, Davis produced four ground balls, three caused turnovers, a goal, an assist and a pair of draw controls. She continued her solid play Monday in a 14-12 victory over Detroit (3/9/15) at Joe Walton Stadium that helped stretch RMU’s winning streak to four by recording three goals, three caused turnovers and eight ground balls. In the early portion of her career, Davis has supplied the Colonials with 12 goals through her first five collegiate games to go along with team highs in both ground balls (16) and caused turnovers (8).
