Earning the final Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2014-15 campaign and her fourth of the year is senior Bethany Ledford of the track & field squad. Ledford, a native of Huntingdon, Pa., capped off an impressive collegiate career in her signature event, the pole vault, at the 2015 ECAC Championships this past weekend in New Jersey. Ledford recorded a leap of 3.56 meters (11’8”) to tie for 16th in the event with Karleigh Manfredi of Rhode Island and Grace Weisbecker of Vermont. Ledford became the third student-athlete in program history to conclude their respective careers owning each of the top 10 marks in school history in an event. Prior to Ledford, Genita Dickey (1998-2001) finished her collegiate career owning each of the top 10 marks in school history in the 100-meter hurdles, while Nicole Downing (2002-05) concluded her career with each of the top 10 marks in school history in the hammer throw.
