Taking home his second Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week of the 2019 fall campaign is sophomore linebacker Aniello Buzzacco of the football team. In a 24-20 win over Bryant (10/26) at Joe Walton Stadium that opened a three-game homestand, Buzzacco finished with a career-high 18 tackles, the highest total in the Northeast Conference this season. Buzzacco, a native of North Lima, Ohio, registered eight stops in the fourth quarter to help keep the Bulldogs at bay after RMU grabbed a 24-20 advantage, and he also posted seven solo takedowns in the contest. For his efforts, Buzzacco was named the NEC Defensive Player of the Week, his first career honor. In the last five games, a stretch in which Robert Morris is 4-1, Buzzacco has racked up 67 tackles, an average of 13.4 per contest. He leads the NEC and ranks ninth in NCAA FCS in tackles with an average of 10.8 per game.
