Garnering the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 14, 2016, is senior forward Daniel Leavens of the hockey team. In a road split with Bentley last weekend in Watertown, Mass., Leavens finished with a pair of goals and two assists. Both of his goals came in RMU’s 4-1 victory to help earn the split, helping Leavens extend his point streak to 10 games. Leavens, a native of Toronto, Ontario, is tied for second for the Colonials in scoring with 23 points. He has compiled six goals and 17 assists, with his total in helpers leading Atlantic Hockey.
