Earning one of two Peoples Natural Gas RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nods for May 15, 2019, is senior midfielder Tyson Gibson of the lacrosse squad. In the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament @ Virginia (5/11/19) led the Robert Morris offense with seven points, compiling a pair of goals and five assists. Gibson, a native of Maple, Ontario, scored the first goal of the contest of the Cavaliers at the 2:43 mark of the first quarter and also assisted on the second goal. Named the 2019 Northeast Conference Player of the Year in a vote of league head coaches, Gibson concluded the season with 69 points, scoring 29 goals and leading the Colonials in assists with 40. He concluded his career in a Robert Morris uniform ranked fifth in program history with 161 points and 2.56 points per game.
