Tabbed the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 9, 2019, is sophomore midfielder Riccardo Rota of the soccer team. In a split through New England last weekend, Rota helped keep the Colonials in first place in the Northeast Conference by recording a pair of goals in a 3-1 victory @ Central Connecticut (10/6). Rota found the back of the next just 2:47 into the contest to give Robert Morris the early lead, and he capped the win with a marker at 74:31. In 12 games in 2019, including eight starts, Rota, a native of Bergamo, Italy, leads the Colonials with six points courtesy of three goals.
