Selected as the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 6, 2019, is redshirt sophomore quarterback George Martin of the football team. In a 28-17 victory over LIU (11/2) at Joe Walton Stadium that stretched the winning streak for Robert Morris to four, Martin rushed for a touchdown and passed for two more. He connected with tight end Matthew Gonzalez for a 31-yard score in the second quarter, and his 24-yard strike to wide receiver Garrett Houser with 10 minutes to play settled the final score. Martin also rushed for a 12-yard touchdown with 6:32 in the third quarter that put the Colonials in front for good. Martin, a native of Monongahela, Pa., finished 12-for-18 passing for 150 yards. On the 2019 campaign, he has completed 52.2 percent (72-for-134) of his passes for seven touchdowns while also having rushed for two more scores.
