Opening the new decade with the first Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor is redshirt senior guard Josh Williams of the basketball team. In helping guide the Colonials to a 2-0 start in Northeast Conference play with a sweep in New England, Williams averaged 18.5 points and 3.0 assists as the Colonials posted road wins over Central Connecticut (1/2/20) and Merrimack (1/4/20). In an 89-78 victory over the Blue Devils, Williams, a native of Akron, Ohio, tied for game-high honors with 20 points while also grabbing four rebounds and dishing out four assists. Two days later in another 11-point victory, this time a 69-58 win over the Warriors, Williams led the way with a game-high 17 points. He converted 53.8 percent (14-for-26) of his attempts from the floor in the two games, including 69.2 percent (9-for-13) from beyond the arc, and is leading the Colonials in 2019-20 with a 14.5 points per game average.
