In helping lead Robert Morris to the 2014 Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) Tournament championship and the program’s first berth in the NCAA Tournament, junior forward Cody Wydo is one of two male student-athletes to garner the Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor for March 26, 2014. A native of Southgate, Mich., Wydo was named the MVP of the 2014 AHA Tournament after recording his third hat trick of the 2013-14 campaign in a 7-4 victory over Canisius (3/22/14) in the championship game. Overall in seven games of the 2014 AHA Tournament, Wydo compiled seven goals and 12 points. Thanks to 30 goals and 52 points overall in 2013-14, Wydo has established Robert Morris single-season records and became the first junior in school history to eclipse 100 career points. Also named to the 2014 All-AHA Tournament Team, Wydo was also selected the Travel Team USA / AHA Player of the Week (3/25/14) for his role in the 2014 AHA Tournament.
