Sophomore outside hitter Annie Monaco of the volleyball team has been named the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 6, 2021. In three matches last week, Monaco, a native of Dover, Ohio, compiled 40 kills, a .302 attack percentage, 29 digs and 42.5 points. She helped lead the Colonials to a 3-0 sweep of IUPUI (10/2) at the UPMC Events Center by registering her second career double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs. Monaco, an environmental science major who has maintained a 3.29 cumulative grade point average (GPA), ranks seventh in the Horizon League in hitting percentage at .275 courtesy of 92 kills and 29 errors in 229 total attempts.
