Named the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20, 2021, is redshirt junior midfielder Kaoru Hayashi of the soccer team. In helping lead the Colonials to their first Horizon League triumph, Hayashi, a native of Ama, Japan, posted a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory @ Wright State (10/14). She recorded the helper on the opening goal of the contest by Allie Ball and, with the score tied, 1-1, netted the eventual game-winning goal at 97:53. In 14 matches for the Colonials in 2021, Hayashi, a psychology major who has maintained a 3.92 cumulative grade point average (GPA), ranks second for RMU in points with 10. She has scored three goals and added four assists.
