One of two members of the softball team to earn the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for May 13, 2015, is senior Samantha Santillo. In three games of the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament, Santillo hit .500 (3-for-6) at the dish with a run scored while also providing a sacrifice. She also registered 15 putouts at catcher and added two assists. For her efforts, Santillo, a native of Ellwood City, Pa., earned a spot on the 2015 All-NEC Tournament Team. On the 2015 campaign, Santillo hit .248, compiling eight doubles, a home run and 16 RBI.
