Garnering the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 16, 2016, is freshman goaltender Francis Marotte of the hockey team. In a road sweep of Sacred Heart, Marotte, a native of Longueuil, Quebec, stopped 56 of 58 shots and improved to 5-1-1 (.786) this season in between the pipes. He finished with 27 saves in a 4-1 victory to open the series Saturday, Nov. 12, and recorded 29 saves in another 4-1 win to complete the sweep Sunday, Nov. 13. Overall this season Marotte has posted a .951 save percentage and a 1.48 goals against average, totals that rank first and third in NCAA Division I. Â
