Selected as the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 1, 2021, is senior forward Kahliel Spear of the men’s basketball team. In the opener of a three-game road trip @ Davidson (11/27/21), Spear, a native of The Colony, Texas, missed registering a second consecutive double-double by just a rebound, leading the Colonials with 15 points and nine boards. He also added two assists, a block and a steal against the Wildcats. Spear, an economics major who has maintained a 3.94 cumulative grade point average (GPA), has scored in double figures in each of RMU’s first five games of the 2021-22 season and seven consecutive games dating back to last year. Overall on the season Spear is pacing the Colonials with averages of 14.2 points and 8.2 rebounds while also owning six rejections.
