Earning the latest Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week is junior Rachael Rhinehart of the softball team. In a swing through the Pacific Northwest for the Colonials that concluded yesterday, Rhinehart, a native of Woodinville, Wash., appeared in three games from the circle, including two starts, and finished 1-1 with an earned run average (ERA) of 0.51 while striking out 17 in 13.2 innings of work. In an 8-1 win @ Portland State (3/4/22) that helped RMU earn a split with the Vikings, Rhinehart went the distance, allowing just four hits while striking out a career-high 10. She also more than held her own in the second game of a doubleheader @ Oregon State (3/7/22), striking out seven against a PAC-12 squad receiving votes in the national rankings. Overall during the 2022 campaign, Rhinehart, a nursing major who owns a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.33, is 4-1 in the circle with 29 strikeouts on the season.
