Earning the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 25, 2015, is junior April Krivoniak of the volleyball squad. In helping lead the Colonials to their first Northeast Conference Tournament title and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament in 12 years with victories over Bryant (11/21) and LIU Brooklyn (11/22), Krivoniak compiled 30 kills, 23 digs, three aces, three blocks and a .394 attack percentage. She committed just two attack errors in the two matches. For her efforts, she was selected as the 2015 NEC Tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP). Krivoniak, a native of Latrobe, Pa., finished with 16 kills, nine digs and a pair of block assists while hitting .368 in the decisive 3-1 victory over the Blackbirds that pushed Robert Morris back into the Big Dance.Â
