Senior guard Rodney Pryor of the basketball team is the recipient of the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 23, 2015. Pryor helped the Colonials go 1-1 in the last week, averaging 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks while shooting 50 percent (16-for-32) from the field, including 46.7 percent (7-for-15) from beyond the arc. Pryor, a native of Evanston, Ill., helped Robert Morris notch its first home victory of the 2015-16 campaign with a 69-67 win over Lehigh (12/17/15) by scoring 20 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out a season-high five assists. Two days later he scored a game-high 22 points @ Duquesne (12/19/15) while grabbing eight rebounds, rejecting two shots and posting three steals. Thanks to his performance, Pryor was selected as the Northeast Conference Player of the Week (12/21/15). On the 2015-16 campaign, Pryor leads the NEC in scoring at 21.7 points per game.Â
