In helping lead Robert Morris to a 16-13 victory over Niagara (2/22) in its 2014 season opener at Joe Walton Stadium, junior midfielder Kristin Yoviene is the recipient of the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 26, 2014. A native of Easton, Md., Yoviene tallied three goals and three assists in the win over the Purple Eagles in tying a career high with six points. Six minutes into the second half Yoviene scored to give the Colonials a 12-9 advantage, and after Niagara rallied to tie the score, 13-13, her final goal of the afternoon put Robert Morris ahead by two, 15-13, en route to the victory. Her three assists established a new career high, and thanks to her performance against Niagara, Yoviene was selected as the Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week (2/24).
