Earning his second Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2018 spring season is junior goaltender Alex Heger of the lacrosse team. In a 15-5 victory @ Mount St. Mary’s, Heger posted a season-high 19 saves to help the Colonials stretch their winning streak to five. In the second half, Heger, a native of Carmel, Ind., turned away nine consecutive shots in holding the Mount scoreless for the final 27 minutes of the tilt. For his efforts, Heger was named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week (3/26). In the national rankings, Heger ranks fourth in NCAA Division I in save percentage (.610), sixth in goals against average (7.83) and seventh in saves per game (12.13).
