A native of Knox, Pa., Pries occupied the three seat of the Robert Morris varsity heavyweight four that claimed the Margaret McNiff Trophy at the 2000 Dad Vail Championships in Philadephia, Pa. RMU’s time of 7:25.48 helped beat out Bucknell (7:28.63), Bowdoin (7:33.40), Pittsburgh (7:42.12), Florida (7:42.12) and Carnegie Mellon (7:47.92).
