A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Dodds spent three seasons with the Colonials, playing as a true freshman in 1998 and again with the program in 2001 and 2002. He was named the 2002 Northeast Conference Player of the Year and was also a two-time All-NEC First Team selection (2001, 2002). A true playmaker in every sense of the word, Dodds helped lead the Colonials to a share of the 2001 NEC regular-season championship with Fairleigh Dickinson thanks to an 8-2 (.800) record in the league. He finished his career with 17 assists, and his career-high for helpers of 11 came in 2002.
